Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 11, 2026

Sakura (“the App”) is an iOS application. Your privacy is important to us, and we want to be transparent about how the App handles your data.

Sakura does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us. The App does not require an account, and does not currently use analytics or tracking tools of any kind.

The games you import and the saves you create stay on your device, in the App’s own storage. Sakura does not upload your game files, save data, or library metadata to any server we operate.

If you turn on iCloud Saves or iCloud Backups, your saves and backups are stored in your own personal iCloud account, managed entirely by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure. We never see or have access to this data — it’s subject to Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.

Sakura’s Web Transfer feature runs a small web server directly on your device so you can move game files and saves between it and a computer’s browser. This server:

  • Only runs when you explicitly open the Web Transfer screen, and stops as soon as you close it.
  • Is only reachable over your local Wi-Fi network — it is not exposed to the internet.
  • Requires a randomly generated PIN, shown on your device, to connect.

No file you transfer this way passes through any server we operate — it goes directly between your device and the computer on your network.

When you use Auto-Translate, all translation is performed on-device using Apple’s Translation framework and its downloadable language packs. Nothing leaves the device — no game text, dialogue, or translation result is ever sent to us or to any third-party server.

The App does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data.

If our practices ever change, we will update this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
