Before diving into a specific guide, try these first:

  1. Restart the game — close it from the in-game overlay’s X button and relaunch it from the library.
  2. Restart Sakura — some changes only take effect on the next launch, and switching a game between the classic engine and ONScripter-RU requires closing and reopening the app entirely (see Restart Needed).
  3. Check Game Settings — many display, timing, and audio quirks are per-game overrides, gated behind the Use Global Settings toggle.
  4. Check free space — imports, transfers, and iCloud sync all need headroom; see Storage.
  5. Make sure Sakura is up to date on the App Store.
